Mundane astrology finds great fundamental similarity between The Great Depression 1930 and the Financial Crisis 2007-2008. This branch of astrological science predicted the onset of the recent global crisis exactly.1)One of the authors who wrote back in the 20th century on the crisis that mundane astrology expected to occur in 2008 is Miss Allen. To my knowledge, his book Horoscope for the new millennium’ issued 1997 is the only book translated in Bulgarian that refers this issue.
The accompanying graphs show the astrological aspects between the planets that preconditioned the two major economic crises and illustrate the analogy between the Great Depression 1930 and the global financial crisis 2008-2001.
There is still no full agreement about when exactly the current financial crisis began. The dominating view is that it started 2008-2009 in America and the next years extended to the rest of the world. The fact that crisis began in America, has an explanation astrological horoscope of America, and in the most advanced economic of America that makes it a sensitive indicator of global trends.
To Mundane astrology, it was clear that the crisis was just beginning in 2010 and that it will not start to fade prior the latter half of 2015. For politicians and economists, however, this didn’t seem clear. I remember back in 2010, while waiting for the crisis to end many wrong economic forecasts were made and wrong strategies were adopted. Since the crisis refused to go away, rumours were flying about in the news that it must be W-shaped, i.e. it is composed of two crises.
The graphs show the aspects of economically important planets. These are the slow moving planets. The aspects between them can last for years. Their prolonged influences shape the attitudes of the masses and direct social development. As usual, the red colour in the graphics indicates tense aspects that cause tension, hostility, fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, conflicts and crises, while green colour indicates favourable aspects that bring down inhibitions and contribute to economic growth.
The graphs do not reflect the quality of the astrological signs participating in formation of aspects. Therefore, another major similarity between the astrological prerequisites for the two major crises – the role of the cardinal signs in them – remains hidden. Cardinal signs are active and are at angular distances from one another that correspond to the tense aspects square or opposition. Planets in cardinal signs are very active, impatient and even aggressive. Planets that are in different cardinal signs cast sharp and tense aspects to each other and provoke confrontation, intolerance, crises and wars. However, the graphics are eloquent enough even without indicating the cardinal transits of planets.
Uranus is conductive to reforms and rebellions, and Pluto causes fear, destruction and complete even pernicious transformation. The penultimate time when both planets were in cardinal signs and formed squared to each other was in the period 1929-1935, which exactly coincides with the Great Depression. The last time Uranus and Pluto are both cardinal signs and cast squares to each other is the period 2008-2017, which closely matches to the current crisis.
The Great Depression exacerbated 1930 when Saturn entered Capricorn. He was involved in the battle of the cardinal Uranus and Pluto and increased its severity. The current economic crisis began 2008-2009 due to the entry of Pluto in the cardinal Capricorn sign. An entry of Saturn in cardinal Libra followed in 2009. The crisis exacerbated further by the middle of 2010, when Uranus and Jupiter entered the cardinal Aries, forming intense aspects to Pluto and Saturn. The tension between these four planets loosened temporarily at the end of 2010 because they turn retrograde. This aroused expectations that the crisis is ending. In early 2011, however, their tense aspects formed again, which gave reason for suggestions that the crisis is W-shaped.
Each graph shows aspects of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto for two 10-year or two 30-year periods that include the corresponding crises. Thus, the analogy of the two crises can be seen in historical context. The similar accumulation of stressful aspects about 1930 and 2010 is eloquent.
The aspects between Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto and North node for two 10-years periods
The second set of similar graphics that contain one more row includes aspects of the north lunar node, which are also indicative. For clearness, Mars and Neptune are not included in the graphs, though undoubtedly they have mundane influence. Mars moves with relatively high velocity and oversaturates the long-term graphics with aspects while Neptune’s impact on financial crises is indirect.
